Methodology and Process

 

We use the UGAST Framework to deliver the Social Media Marketing Strategy for your business. Below are the steps we take to achieve the final outcome.

Uncover

The first stage is understanding your current marketing with the goal of identifying  where social media will best integrate with your overall strategy. We work together with your marketing team to learn all about your marketing strategies, tactics, your customers, promotions and all objectives.

Goals

Once we've defined where you are, we then plan where you want to be in regards to this new marketing channel. Together with your team we'll define your social media goals, objectives and KPIs. Some businesses want to focus more on the market research aspect of social media while others are more interested in promotional activities, expanding brand awareness, or building relationships either directly or using loyalty programmes. This is the stage where we'll define the objectives that would best fit your business model and future goals.

Analyse

Next stage is market research and analysis with the aim of gathering as much intelligence as possible. We systematically conduct an in-depth analysis of  the social media landscape to discover where your customers are, what activities they're engaging in and what they're saying. We also look at your competitors and other businesses with similar objectives and analyse how they are conducting their campaigns. Competitive intelligence is an essential element for successful online marketing.

Strategy

The next step is strategy formulation. We use all the relevant information gathered, and with input from your marketing team, we create a strategic social media marketing plan. This is a blueprint detailing how social media should best be integrated with your current marketing, in order to achieve the objectives specified in step two as well as your overall business goals.

Tools

This is where we get down to tactics. You will receive recommendations for what social media tools will be most effective for reaching your objectives and how they should be implemented to achieve the strategic outcome.

What we will not do for you

  • We will not teach you the little nitty gritty of how to post videos on YouTube, how to write blog posts, open a Twitter account or setup a Facebook profile. Social media applications (Facebook, YouTube, Twitter etc) are designed to be easy to use for the end-user (where end-users are not tech folk but regular people). This makes all these tools very self explanatory and technically very simple and quick to setup and manage. Although, if necessary we can offer a one-stop-solution.

 

Costs and Timeframes

Depending on the level of complexity, It will take anywhere from 3 to 6 weeks to complete the project. Cost estimates and a formal proposal for the project will be submitted after the initial consultation with your team, once your needs and objectives have been fully assessed.
